Mr. Davis is holding a party for the Graduating Class of 2009 at his house Friday July 10th at 6:00 P.M
to 11:00P.M. Please call Mr. Davis, Tim, or Kelsey to R.S.V.P. the event. You may also e-mail the band at greenupband@gmail.com to confirm.
There will be a Booster Meeting Tuesday, July 14th, 2009 @ 6:00 in the Band Room. See Booster
Page for more information!
Band Camp will be July 20th - July 24th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and July 27th - July 30th, 2009
from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. THERE WILL NOT BE BAND CAMP ON JULY 31ST! Attendance is MANDATORY for any band member
that will be in this years Marching Band. We will be in the sun for long periods of time so wear appropriate clothing.
We are also asking students to bring their own water (2 Cases.) We do ask that you don't drink a lot of soda or other
sugary drinks due to the heat.
The Band Picnic will be on July 30th from 6:00 PM to ?. It will begin at the High School, then it will move
to the Greenup Locks and Dam. Everyone please bring a dish to the picnic. Also, there will be lots of Water for the Water
WAR, so wear old clothes that you don't mind getting wet. No White T-Shirts please.

The Greenup County "Band of Pride", is under the direction of Russell
Davis. Mr. Davis has been with the Greenup County School system for 6 years. He is an amazing band director and
musician. The Greenup County band is full of hard-working, and dedicated individuals. We are very talented, but
are willing to learn and try new, and better things.

Organization News
Thanks to all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends,
etc. who have helped in concessions, with uniforms, bringing drinks and snacks, and coming to the games and competitions
to cheer our kids on and show how much we support the Greenup County Band!! Keep up the good work! What a great
group of band boosters we have this year!! And we are looking forward to new parents and others who will help us again this
year!!
We want to encourage everyone to continue to be supportive
and helpful during this year, with the kids, the competitions, and the concessions! And NEW parents and friends, if
you want to help, don't wait to be asked! Show up and ask what needs to be done. I'm sure you will be put
to work!
Students, when auditions come up for honors bands, District
bands, etc., please audition. You can't make if you don't at least try!! Also, if you have tried before and didn't
make it, practice and experience may be the key to you making it this year; But always audition!!
